Gränsfors Bruk Small Forest Axe 420 with Sheath:
The Gränsfors Small Forest Axe has a larger head and a longer handle than the Wildlife Hatchet and therefore provides more chopping power. However, it is still small enough to fit into a rucksack.

Old world craftsmanship, with excellent handling characteristics. Extremely well made. Comes with a razor sharp edge, so no need to even think of sharping this one when you get it. Upon examination, as soon as I got it out of the packaging, it was obvious that this ax is of the highest quality. Just the right size to carry in your vehicle, pack for a long hike, or have at home for use when needed. This is one product that I recommend, without any reservation, for its intended purposes. Yes, as previously commented, you need to angle the ax when taking it out of the tight fitting sheath. Even the sheath is very well made. With decent care this ax should last long enough to pass onto your next generation.
I purchased this axe for a recent camping trip. When it showed up in the mail, I was very happy with the size and quality of the axe. During the outing, I put the axe to good use and was very impressed with the balance of it. I have not had to sharpen it yet buy it looks like good steel and has held an edge very well. I am a bit concerned about the sheath. You need to rock the blade of the axe into the sheath to clear the lower rivet which causes the top of the blade to rub into the leather. The blade is very sharp and I think in short time it will cut into the leather of the sheath
Best axe I ever used. Comes sharp
