Kershaw HOB Exclusive 1776RDBWHOB Link Red Blackwash Assisted Knife
The House of Blades custom red BlackWash Link uses a high-quality S35VN stainless steel blade that has been black-oxide BlackWash coated to hide the wear and tear from daily use. It uses a red anodized aluminum handle with a blue back spacer. The Link is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening for easy one-handed opening via the flipper.
The missing linkbetween a quality, made-in-the-USA knife and a price most consumers can affordhas been found. Or, to be more precise, Kershaw is making it. Appropriately, it is called the Link and it has been given the patriotic model number of 1776.
The sculpted lines and texture of the handle provide for a comfortable and secure grip. The Link feels big and solid in the hand and offers a clean look. The pocket-clip is reversible for convenient left or right-handed pocket carry. The Link is made in Kershaws state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tualatin, Oregon.

Easily the best EDC I’ve ever owned
Posted by Matthew Clark on 11th Jun 2019
For the pst couple years, I’ve been carrying a Kershaw Cryo II. I really liked that knife. I had no idea that it had an inferior blade steel. Well, I flipped a kayak, and now it’s laying at the bottom of Concho River here in San Angelo, Texas.
My brother, Jon, advised that I get a S35VN or M390 blade, and he even suggested a Kershaw Link from HOB. Well, after a bunch of reading, I decided the HOB-exclusive Link was the best buy.
Immediately after taking it out of its box, I knew I had a quality tool — something far better than the Cryo II that I lost. I haven’t actually used the blade yet, but boy, this thing sure feels nice in the hand! The action is smooth and quick, and o really dig the American flag on the side! “‘mericuh!”
Thank you, Kershaw and House of Blades for this fiiiine EDC tool. I’m already itching to get a second one just to keep as a spare.
an already great EDC knife perfected.

I actually bought this knife to upgrade my current link. I prefer the look of the gray scales on the normal link but I really wanted the S35VN blade steel.
So as soon as I received this knife I took both knifes apart and swapped over the blade, as well as the anodized blue aluminum backspacer to match the blue titanium hardware and deep carry pocket clip I have on the gray one.
Even with the mix of parts from 2 different knifes, it still operates perfectly and the blade is still perfectly centered. It will be my EDC for a long time and I also reassembled the red one with the 420HC blade and plastic backspacer and it will be a good beater knife.
HOB Link is a giant homerun

When these came out I just started collecting Kershaw knives and this red with black washed blade was always on my mind and finally after almost 2 years I finally saved enough $$ for it and I must say I am not disappointed one bit , this American made beauty is worth every penny , now to save up enough to get all the HOB links , a big thanks to HOB & Kershaw for putting this great knife on the market..
great edc option

Well worth the extra $40 to upgrade the steel. Couldn't be happier love the speed safe and found the blade shape very usefull around the job and house
An Unbelievable Value

This knife is awesome, I really like the weight and ergonomics it's not the lightest but it feels really good in hand and pocket. The finish on the aluminum is cool looking and provides a little extra grip on the handle. I think the action is faster than all my other Speedsafe Kershaws and the blade shape is awesome. Still trying out the steel as this is my first S35VN blade but at this price this knife hardly has any peers under the $100 mark. I am very impressed with the engraving, I was expecting to see it cut into the handle but the writing appears white on the handle not the aluminum silver. Been in my pocket since I got it.

The build , action and incredible blade steel make this arguably the best Kershaw ever, there is not a better s35vn knife available at this price, not even close. The color and feel are awesome!
6 stars for sure! Thanks HoB -

This Kershaw link is outstanding! I carry this thing every day. I love the spring assisted s35vn light saber of a blade. I maintain its razors edge with a leather strop. I haven't had any chipping or even dulling. I personally purchased the red black wash, love the red white and blue theme. And the black hardware. The model # 1776 and lazor etched "old Glory" COME ON this thing is awesome!!! Fit and finish fantastic, ergo's fantastic, meterials you can't do better for the money.

This is a great knife and an amazing value. The knife itself is similar to a Camber, but a little heavier due to the build with full liners and a slightly longer blade with more tip and belly. The steel is great, and I like the blackwash blade. I don't think it will replace my Camber for most EDC, but when I want a little more blade, this is the knife I will choose.
