The House of Blades 1812 Dividend Back The Blue edition has a blue handle and black back spacer. This knife offers a high quality S35VN stainless steel BlackWash blade that hides the wear and tear from daily use. The Dividend offers Kershaw’s patented SpeedSafe assisted one-handed opening via the flipper. Our 1812 also comes with a black deep carry pocket clip.

For each Back The Blue Dividend sold we will donate $5 to the C.O.P.S. Foundation. The C.O.P.S. or Concern of Police Survivors is an organization that helps families of fallen officers killed in the line of duty. They help assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving family members and affected co-workers. On top of providing them with assistance they offer hope and peace. So please join us in supporting this cause.

While the original Link is a larger and stouter knife, some of you prefer a slimmer blade. The Dividend is made for you. Not too big, not too small, the Kershaw Dividend is a just-right-sized pocketknife. Its elegant drop-point blade is a perfect 3 inches long and offers enough belly to be an efficient slicer. The knife is easy to open, even one-handed, with SpeedSafe assisted opening and the flipper.

    My new edc!

I love this knife. The premium steel and deep-carry pocket clip take it from 4 to 5 stars. The flip-out action is smooth and the blade is thin but strong. The blackwash is beautiful.
I have finally found the perfect knife for me!

    Favorite EDC knife ever!

I absolutely love this knife. My favorite and best EDC I have ever had. Handle and blade length are perfect for multiple uses and the thickness is spot on. This S35V blade steel just keeps on impressing me. My now favorite blade steel. Colors are awesome and look great. You will not regret buying this knife!!!

    Awesome knife

Posted by Richard on 18th Jun 2019

I love this knife! The only problems I had with the Kershaw Dividend is the lack of a deep carry clip and poor quality steel. This HOB model fixes both of those issues and keeps the price just right. I also really like the blue and black coloring. The knife is light and nearly disappears when in the pocket. Speed safe is great. Blade shoots out every time and, unlock many full automatic blades, the assist is only applied at a certain point which makes it easy to close one handed. The blade came just ok sharp so I did have to sharpen it to get it to slice through paper easily. Now it is an amazing cutter and shoots through cardboard with ease. I've used it fairly heavily and haven't needed to resharpen so the S35VN seems to be holding up well. This knife is highly recommended for someone looking for a lightweight, but very capable folder. Also, USA Made!

I echo what everyone else has said. This knife is the perfect light to med EDC duty knife. Super thin handle, premium steel, super light, perfect blade length and shape, deep carry clip and gorgeous blue handle that just looks right against the black washed blade. Love it so much I got the black on red one too.

    Amazing value

Posted by Joseph Santana on 5th Jun 2019

For starters I want to say this is my 3rd Kershaw knife with speedsafe in the past 3 years and I haven't had a problem with the speedsafe on any of them including this one. I think the speedsafe complaints are really blown out of proportion.
As for this knife, it will handle everything an edc knife needs to handle. Blade is razor sharp out of the box. S35VN is a great steel, a massive upgrade from the 420hc in the normal Dividend. Speedsafe opening works great. Love the handle ergonomics and the shape of the blade. Its easy to sharpen. The pocket clip holds the knife at the perfect depth in my pocket and having 4 different pocket clip positions to chose from is nice. The fit and finish is great. And it's made in the USA. I really can't find anything bad to say about this knife. You'll be hard pressed to find something better for the money except for maybe the M390 version of this same knife but good luck finding it in stock anywhere.

One of the Best EDC Available!

Posted by Nate on 17th May 2019

This knife may be the best EDC available right now! HOB took a good knife and upgraded it to a great one with this exclusive version. To me an EDC has a one blade about 3" that locks open, made of a high-end steel, visually appealing, lightweight, thin, and costs less than $100. This knife check all those boxes and is made in the USA. I'm not using an EDC as a work tool. I typically use it to cut a loose string on clothing, peel an orange, dismantle a cardboard box, open plastic packaging, or open mail. This knife is a great for this role. I prefer this assisted opening over a axis lock like a mini grip. The deep pocket clip, thin profile, and light weight make it easy to carry. Less noticeable in the pocket than a native. The blue handle and black blade look great together. The S35VN blade has ideal characteristics for EDC. This knife balances features and affordability perfectly to offer a great EDC option. These are an HOB exclusive so you should buy one before they are all gone!

    Incredible knife

You'll be hard pressed to find better value for the price. Great edc knife. Not a harder use knife however since the blade stock is very thin.
